Duke's Tire & Auto has been serving Wilmington and the surrounding areas since 1994. A husband and wife team who decided to turn a dream into reality brought the business from a thought to what it has become today. We initially started this business part time. Between the two of us we had five jobs and mostly worked seven days a week. The first location was located on the corner of Castle & 17th street. In less than a year, the business was moved to 16th and Wooster street to a three bay facility. Over a seven year period we converted it into a five bay facility. During the course of this seven years we opened a shop on Village Road next to what used to be Mr. Frosty's in Leland, NC and we were there for a few years before deciding to eliminate that location. We always said we were there ten years too early and based on that area now, we were right. We also had two beautiful daughters during this time that have grown up to be thriving adults. Fast forward to 2001 we moved to our current location where we had seven bays. In 2006 a new shop was built housing eight bays and over the course of three years we turned the original building into showroom and waiting areas. As you see, we have continued to grow and become a staple in Wilmington. While waiting on your vehicle we have a putting green for the golfers at heart, recliners for your lounging needs, fresh popped popcorn daily, and television to watch if you don't decide to hang out in the quiet areas. We are located in the Cargo District, so drop off your vehicle and waltz across the road for fun, food, and entertainment. Currently the family members that are working within the business are, Chad, Tracey, Tori, Debbie, Shane, and Tommy. For anyone who knew and loved Tom Duke, we have missed his presence since 2020. He was a staple that many of our long term customers still rave about. There is so much more to our story and we share a lot with so many. We look forward to you choosing Duke's Tire & Auto for all of your automotive service needs so that we can build the relationships with you that last a lifetime.
